Zugspitze by Francesco Chiot
Zugspitze is the highest peak of Germany, and possibly the most accessible. While in my imagination summits are the conclusion of an incredible adventure, a voyage to the limits of the world, the Zugspitze offers a comfortable train ride , plus a small cabin lift, to the top of Germany.
Your most incredible adventure at this point will be the line for a selfie with the gilded cross on the very top, battling crows over a wurstel bun and finding a restroom after the obligatory Maß beer.
The unconcerned clouds keep moving above the land, and into the mountain, hiding swarms of tourists with a merciful white veil, and in a moment of revelation the sky will below you revealing the true spirit of the mountain, like a wanderer in a sea of fog.
